CONCENTRATION
Krystle is an associate of the Davis Brown Law Firm. She joined the Business Division in September 2008 and maintains a general real estate practice. She also coordinates the firm’s Summer Associate Program and will serve as the firm’s associate representative for the board of directors in 2012.
SUMMARY
Krystle practices primarily in real estate transactions and real estate litigation. She represents both commercial and residential clients in a wide range of matters including:
• Acquisitions and sales
• Abstract examinations and title opinions/title commitments
• Easements and covenants
• Leases, including tower leases for telecommunication companies
• Planning and development
• Subdivisions
• Zoning
• Financing
• Closings
• Clearing title issues, including quiet title actions
• Tax sale litigation
• Foreclosure
• Landlord and tenant, including forcible entry and detainer (FED) actions
COMMUNITY
Krystle is active in the community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the East Des Moines Chamber. She has also been active with the American Cancer Society’s Coaches vs. Cancer Hoops for Hope Gala since 2009.
ACADEMICS
In 2007, Krystle received her law degree from Drake University Law School with High Distinction. She was the Managing Editor of the Drake Law Review, received the Charles and Dora Taylor scholarship, and was elected Order of the Coif.
Krystle received her Bachelor of Science and Business Administration in Finance from Creighton University in 2004. While at Creighton, Krystle participated at the Division 1 level on both the Women’s Soccer and Basketball teams and was an Academic All-American. In addition, Krystle was a Student Manager of the Creighton Endowment, a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Fraternity, and was inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa National Honor Society. She was also heavily involved in community volunteer activities.
